REV. MICHAEL E. SWETMAN
Rev. Michael Swetman believes that church should be the primary anchor that holds our community together. Church is more than a one hour/week effort. The Gospel writer Matthew says “By their fruit you will recognize them.” Matthew’s telling us that our church and what we do with it is an important part of our identity.
Michael is a retired Special Forces officer, and practices Interventional Pain Medicine at the Veteran’s Administration. He has been married to Ellen Nohrn Swetman for over 30 years. The Swetman’s enjoy travel, shooting sports, playing music and movies. Ellen has a degree in Radio-Television-Broadcasting and you might have seen her in one of several local commercials.
Pastor Michael shares the message that church is first, a family place. Men, women and children of all ages will find a warm and receptive place within the walls of The ROCK UMC. Church is your port in a storm and the place to celebrate the abundant joy that God provides us.
