We all know how great it feels to receive gifts. However, the joy of getting is short-lived. Our lives are richer when we share, and that great inner joy comes from helping others to better their lives.
Truly giving from the heart fills your life with joy and nourishes our souls. Giving provides an intrinsic reward that’s far more valuable than the gift.
As Jesus said, “Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, we will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into our hands—all that we can hold. The measure we use for others is the one that God will use for us.”
Giving takes you out of yourself and allows you to expand beyond earthly limitations. 
True joy lies in the act of giving without an expectation of receiving something in return.
The Rock UMC is our Spiritual home and it is here for everyone of us; to enjoy, to escape and of course our place to come ‘home’ to Christ. Our church is a gift and as such, as we so freely receive Love from it, so too with the same Love, give back to it .
